Just a real quick post to show a few of the returning Winter residents. These guys, with the exception of the Spoonbill have all returned in the last couple of weeks. I’ll let the pictures do the talking this week!
Pied-billed Grebe … We did have one Grebe that spent the Summer with us but in the last two weeks their numbers have gone up to a half-dozen or so.
Blue-winged Teal … Always nice when these guys first come back. Hopefully a few of their cousins will visit us this year!
Ruby-throated Hummingbird … He was protecting his perch from another Hummer and dozens of Dragonflies!
In this one the other Ruby-throated Hummingbird had passed to close for this one!!
Roseate Spoonbill … I probably have a couple dozen shots of these guys on this particular snag but can’t help myself anytime the sun and sky are this cooperative!!
Still pretty slow going in South Florida but as the saying goes … any day birding is better than a day working! Thanks for stopping by and God Bless!
